A local charity’s Halloween fun run in Longbridge on Sunday, (30th Oct) was a ‘screaming’ success.

The family-friendly fun run took place in Cofton Park and was organised by the wonderful people at Headway Birmingham & Solihull to help raise much needed funds.

The park was littered with a plethora of spooky monsters of various sizes – all there to support the charity.

• Kathryn Powell (first female finisher)
• Eight-year-old Joshua Ballintine won the Under 12s prize
• George Astbury (overall winner). Presented with a certificate and small prize by Headway’s CEO, Sue Tyler
• Val – Outfit winner – dressed in spidery stuff from head to toe!

All proceeds from the event will go towards Headway’s brain injury services, helping improve life for brain injury survivors and their families in the local area.

A spokesperson for Headway Birmingham & Solihull said: “A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our [Saturday] Halloween Fun Run at Cofton Park and helped raise several hundred pounds towards our local brain injury services.
