Firefighters from Bournbrook fire station responded to Heely Road, Selly Oak where a mid-terraced house had partially collapsed along with some scaffolding.

The fire crew from from Bournbrook fire station arrived shortly after 11am on Tuesday 28 June, within three minutes of being mobilised.

Around eight people were evacuated from neighbouring properties as a safety precaution.

No-one was believed to be injured, but a car was damaged.

The road was expected to be closed for some time for the scene to be cleared up.
