A great community Litter Pick at around Great Park Reservoir this morning (2nd October).
The lovely people of the Rednal Litter Busters (RLB) took part in an organised event to tidy up the local area.
Despite the wonderful (woeful!) weather, the big hearted members of RLB, Rubery Wombles, Morrisons Community Champion Jane Williams and Councillor Simon Morrall, turned up and amassed an impressive (not impressive that it was there mind) collection of rubbish, including:
- 23 bags of rubbish and recycling
- Book case
- School chair
- Metal bin from in the lake
- Football goal pole
- Red barrier
- Pane of glass
- Tyre
- New hub cap
Jane Williams said: “Grappling hook had us all laughing whilst trying to remove a bin and a chair out of the lake (Fiona and Frances may need a bit more practice😂😂). Well done to everyone who came along.”
Fiona Phipps from RLB said: “Thank you and well done to everyone that helped, what great community spirit”
Cllr Simon Morrall said: “To everyone who came out today, thank you! Your work is sooo appreciated! I was so excited I didn’t even comb my hair! 😅
“If you would like to get involved locally then do please get in touch! We’re a friendly bunch! 😊👍”
