West Midlands Police have confirmed that officers searching for wanted Lee Martin have arrested a 41 year old man in Ladywood this evening.
The arrest came after searches by a large number of officers across the West Midlands and widespread media and social media appeals to find Martin, after a woman was kidnapped and stabbed in Solhull.
Martin is also suspected of carrying out a string of violent crimes across the city, including knifepoint carjackings at Asda Barnes Hill and Kings Heath Park.
Charity Crimestoppers today increased the reward for information leading to an arrest to £5000.
The arrested man has been taken into police custody for questioning.
