The Phipps family from Rednal are ‘litter picking’ to raise funds to buy Easter Eggs for local children.
The family are no strangers to helping to keep the local community tidy and can often be seen armed with bin bags and rubbish pickers doing just that.
Throughout March they’re raising funds by collecting the litter on our streets and asking for donations to purchase Easter Eggs which will be donated to South Birmingham Community Food Hub. They will be distributed locally to families that may be struggling.
They were hoping raise £200, however thanks to the generosity of local residents and businesses such as Redlander PAT Testing Ltd who donated a super £100, to date, the amount currently stands at £341.
You can donate through their JustGiving page / or you can donate actual Easter Eggs, the fabulous Phipps family will collect.
Fiona, who also runs Rednal Litter Busters said: “How amazing would it be to know that every child will have at least one Easter Egg to wake up to on Sunday 4th April.
