Bromsgrove Councillor Peter McDonald has funded a bike repair and maintenance stand in Rubery through his divisional funds.
The heavy-duty bicycle repair and maintenance stand provides a sturdy workstation for cyclists to make self-service repairs and tune their bicycles when they’re out and about.
Cllr McDonald said: “I was only too pleased to be able to fund the Bike Repair Stand through my Divisional Funds. It’s been installed in the ideal location in Brook Road Park, Rubery. Next to the well used BMX Track.
“This is the first in the District and a welcomed addition to the park, enabling repairs to be carried out on the spot without having to return home to get them fixed. It will not just serve those using the BMX Track but cyclists in general.
“Unfortunately, with the pressures the Depot at Bromsgrove Council are having to work under because of the pandemic we have had to wait six months for its installation, but it has been well worth the wait”
