Residents were alarmed when a Rubery street was cordoned off by armed police yesterday morning (Monday 28th December) after reports of an assault.

A West Mercia Police spokesman confirmed that officers were called to reports of an assault at a house on Kineton Road at around 11.20am.

The spokesman said: “An area close to the house in question was cordoned off while an investigation took place – however, a short time after, this was lifted.”

No further information was available.
