A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after being found with stab wounds – after what appears to be a robbery – in a Kings Norton street this afternoon (Thursday 15th October).
The injured man was found just before 2pm in Chapel Walk, off Wharf Road, close to Kings Norton Baptist Church.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “An ambulance, paramedic officer and the West Midlands CARE Team attended. One man was in a serious condition and received trauma care on scene before being taken on blue lights to hospital.”
West Midlands Police are seeking two men who made off with a yellow bicycle.
In an appeal on messaging service WMNow, local officers posted: “At 13.50 today, Thursday 15th October near to Kings Norton Baptist Church, a robbery took place where two males described as being white, one 6ft tall, one 5’6ft tall stole a yellow gents cross bike from the victim. Last seen heading towards Brandwood Park.”
Wharf Road remains CLOSED between Shortlands Close and Ardath Road (4.40pm 15/10/20).
