Two teenagers have been charged and remanded in custody following two armed robbery incidents in Bromsgrove.

18 year old Umair Mughal from Weoley Castle and a 15 year old boy were arrested by West Mercia Police in Bromsgrove on Thursday 9th July. Both been charged with attempted robbery, robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

The charges come after two children, aged 12 and 14 years, were threatened and robbed in Bromsgrove on Thursday 2nd July.

The 15 year old – who can’t be named for legal reasons – has been charged with a second cound of robbery after a teenage boy was threatened with a weapon and robbed near Bromsgrove Station on Wednesday 8th July.

The pair appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Saturday morning (11th July). Both were remanded in custody.
