A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after two female teens were injured in a collision in Cofton Hackett this afternoon (Monday 13th July).
The collision – involving two cars as well as a parked car – happened at around 2.30pm in Lickey Road, close to the Old Hare and Hounds pub.
The two injured teenagers, both female, were travelling in the same vehicle.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said an ambulance and a paramedic officer had attended the scene. She said: “The first, a rear seat passenger, had to be cut free by the fire service. She was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to [hospital]. The second patient managed to self-extricate and was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to the same hospital.”
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police confirmed a man had been arrested at the scene. They said: “Three vehicles, one of which was parked, were involved in the collision and a man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.”
