In the light of the coronavirus pandemic, a brand new local restaurant has taken online to deliver their meals to the local community.

Bistro @ B31 was in the middle of plans to launch their new Longbridge restaurant and takeaway when the world went into crisis. So they launched their ‘Bistro Club’, adapting their restaurant standard meals for home delivery.
Following weeks of successfully serving NHS staff, key workers and the most vulnerable, the Bistro @ B31 ‘Bistro Club’ is now offering their doorstep delivery of handmade meals to all.
Available within a six-mile radius of its Longbridge restaurant, menus are created twice weekly using the finest and freshest seasonal produce. Offering a range of options, including dietary alternatives, each menu is hand-crafted by owner Clinton Smith.
He said: “Initially, we wanted to help the NHS and frontline workers and give them a chance to get a nice home cooked meal after a long shift.
“We saw in the news the stories of NHS workers getting to the shops and the shelves being empty so I wanted to help, and as we couldn’t get in the bistro to refurbish or open, I decided to convert my garage into a fully working kitchen to operate from.
“We have grown from there and have now delivered to over 250 customers – those in need of a helping hand – which is a real honour.”
Going forwards, Clinton is looking forward to continuing to serve the local community – both at home and in their new restaurant once they can finalise refurbishments and safely open.
He said: “We have followed Government guidelines throughout, operating social distancing within our own team and contact-free delivery to our customers. I’m so excited that we’re bringing Bistro @ B31’s Bistro Club to life, as I’m so passionate about people eating delicious and nutritious food at a reasonable price. Whilst wait for guidance on getting the restaurant itself open, this is a great way for us to meet our local community and showcase what Bistro @ B31 has to offer.”
Clinton’s Bistro Club menus have been enjoyed by hundreds and the feedback has been positive.
Customer Becky Weekes said: “Great food, great service and excellent prices. I would fully recommend.”
Ordered by email, online or on the phone, the chilled food arrives by contactless delivery in sealed containers. Fully labeled with any allergens and Best Before dates, each delivery includes full reheating and cooking instructions.
They have also been taking to their social media to keep you updated with cocktail demonstrations – always a welcome feature in a lockdown!
Set to offer fresh, convenient and healthy meals to takeaway – for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner – Bistro @ B31 will open at Longbridge Town Centre later this year.
