West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a teenager was stabbed in a Northfield street yesterday afternoon (Friday 15th May).
The 16 year old victim had been chasing a suspected bike thief, who was riding a grey and orange Voodoo pedal cycle – thought to have been stolen earlier that afternoon – around Merrit’s Brook Lane.
Catching up with the suspect, the lad was stabbed and remains in hospital today. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
West Midlands Police would like to hear from anyone who witnesses the incident or who has CCTV or dash cam footage of the assault.
