A man who ran from the scene of a collision brandishing a machete was quickly arrested in Northfield yesterday evening (Monday 25th May).
West Midlands Police officers came across a two car collision in Merritt’s Hill – at the junction with Taysfield Road and Fourlands Road – just before 9pm.
No-one is thought to have been seriously injured in the incident.
Following the collision, a man ran from the scene, brandishing a machete.
After a foot chase, the 24 year old was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and he remains in police custody today.
