The Birmingham Rockschool based in Kings Norton are continuing to keep the music pumping with the help of social media.
The family-run music school decided to take all their lessons online after the government announced a lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak – putting together digital jam sessions for their students of all ages and abilities – giving complete beginners the chance to perform along with professional musicians.
Within their extended musical community are many NHS staff and key workers who have sacrificed so much to keep the country safe and running.
As a thank you, students and tutors have performed a rousing rocked-up rendition of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ to help bring hope and a smile in these most difficult of times.
