A 41 year old man remains in a serious condition in hospital this morning after being suffering multiple stab wounds in an attack in West Heath yesterday evening (Saturday 7th March). Shots were fired after the attack, but thankfully no-one suffered any injuries from the firearm being discharged.
West Midlands Police were called to Kinlet Avenue at around 6.15pm where a 41-year-old man had been stabbed several times while sitting in a black BMW parked on the road.
The man was taken to hospital with several stab wounds to his arms, chest and legs and remains there today – his condition is described as serious but stable
Shots were then fired in the road and investigating officers are seeking three offenders. It is believed two may have left the scene in a silver car.
Last night, firearms officers at the scene tweeted to reassure locals that there was “no risk to the public”.

A police cordon remains in place Kinlet Avenue and Staple Lodge Road today (Sunday 8th March) while police and forensic officers investigate the scene.
Sergeant Richard Forrester from the CID team, said: “I would ask anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area last night, to speak to us as soon as possible.
“I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has any dash cam footage which could have captured events either before or after the stabbing.
“CCTV and house-to-house enquiries continue today and we will be doing all we can to find those involved.”

I live on central avenue while laying in bed about 8 to 8.30 with window slightly open I heard what sounded like gunshots then not long after police dog barking and someone shouting ahhh Twice in the distance surely it wasn’t this I could hear or was their something else going on
