West Midlands Police are appealing to identify a man after an attempted distraction burglary in Frankley last month.
The incident happened at around 2.40pm on Wednesday 12th June in Regina Close.
It is thought that the man, wearing a high visibility jacket, knocked on a woman’s door and entered the house without permission, claiming he needed to turn off her water.
An appeal from West Midlands Police reads: “We believe he knocked on a woman’s door claiming to be doing work at a neighbouring property and needed to turn the water off.
“The man entered the house without permission looking for the stopcock, before asking questions which made her feel uneasy. He then fled the scene empty-handed.”
