An elderly pedestrian has been seriously injured after being in collision with a car in Northfield this afternoon (Wednesday 2nd January).
West Midlands Police confirmed that the woman was taken to hospital after the accident which happened just before 5pm in Bunbury Road, close to the Overbury Road junction.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the scene by paramedics, who have taken the woman to hospital. She has been described as being in a serious condition.”
They confirmed that the driver of the vehicle has been spoken to by police.
By bury Road remained closed as of 6.30pm and was expected to remain closed for some time while officers investigate the scene.
