Thieves who smashed their way into a Northfield mobile phone shop with an axe had to leave empty handed earlier this week (Tuesday 20th November).
The three men used an axe to access the O2 store in Church Road at around 4am. Although damage was also caused inside the shop, the would-be robbers did not manage to steal anything.
West Midlands Police confirmed that enquiries into the failed foray are continuing and CCTV is being examined.
