Three teenagers – the youngest just 13 years old – were set to appear in front of Birmingham Magistrates this morning after being charged in relation to a serious assault on a 15 year old girl.
The violent attack took place in Inglemere Grove, off Shenley Lane, in Weoley Castle at around 7pm on Wednesday (25th April).
The following day, footage of the incident was widely shared on social media, showing a group of other teens repeatedly kicking and punching the girl, including in the face and head, while recording on mobile phones.
Police arrested two girls (15 and 16) and a boy (13). The trio were last night charged with attempting to cause grevious bodily harm and were remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday 28 April).

It’s a pity these toerags cannot be named and shamed by the sitting judge. But of course being kids they have that right of anonymity, which not only protects them from future abuse and retribution, but also their respective families
How about some hard labour for these guys? That might be more of a deterrent before carrying out a crime rather than some half-baked “punishment” after the fact.
Absolutely disgraceful, do they not realise just one of those punches or kicks could have killed that poor girl! I would be so disgusted, ashamed and horrified if any child of mine ever did something like that to another human being!! Anyone capable of such mob brutality and the ability as an individual to be so cruel and viscous, they are nothing more than degenerates, what abhorrent, worthless individuals each & everyone of them are, whatever the justice system gives these 3 individuals will not be enough! I hope they charge more than the 3 they have too… just awful
