A woman has escaped serous injury this morning after her car overturned in a rush hour accident on a busy Halesowen commuter route.Â
The accident happened just after 8am when a car collided with a telegraph pole and street furniture in Whitehall Street (A458) towards the town centre, close to KFC and Travelodge.
Two West Midlands Fire Service appliances – from Haden Cross and Woodgate Valley – attended and West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the scene.
The driver – a woman in her 30s – was treated at the scene by ambulance staff. She was given pain relief but did not require hospital treatment.
The road remained closed for around an hour.
