• SCHOOLS A blanket closure of ALL Birmingham City Council run schools was announced yesterday (Thursday 1st) evening. Most other schools and colleges across South West Birmingham are closed for Friday 2nd March Check the full list
• REFUSE COLLECTIONS All collections suspended Friday 2nd March – will be collected on your next scheduled date. “A reasonable amount” of black bags beside the bin will also be collected.
• ROADS Most roads now passable, but with a chance of further snow this evening (Sat) and temperatures dropping below freezing, beware of ice. See the #SWBrumSnowWatch feed below for updates. Please take care and only drive if essential.
