The national retailer Wilko issued a recall of the product once it became aware of a potential issue.
The high street store are advising customers that may have purchased products with the listed barcode to stop using the product immediately and return the product to the store where purchased for a full refund.

A spokesperson for Wilko said: “We have identified that certain components used in the assembly of the converter have failed the relevant European Standard. Although we believe the likelihood is small, this may present a risk to users of the product.
“Nothing matters more to us than our customers’ safety – so if you’ve purchased this product from us, please return it to any of our stores for a full refund of the purchase price.”
