West Midlands Police are investigating after a man with an axe stole money from a Northfield shop last week.
The man entered Bargain Booze at the junction of Middlemore Road and West Heath Road just before 8pm on Friday 12th January. He was carrying a small axe and demanded money before running off with cash from the till.
Thankfully, no-one was physically injured but staff were left shaken.
