This last weekend was warm and spring-like, leading to the inevitable return of long queues at Lifford Lane Household Recycling Centre.
Some tips on how to beat the queues:
- Avoid peak times: Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am, weekends and public holidays
- Check the Lifford Lane Queue Cam online before you set off
- Subscribe to the council’s green waste collection service and reduce the need for frequent visits: Sign up for
£33– update 2017/18: £38 if you book online, or £40 if you book over the phone - Look out for the fast access ‘Green Lanes’, if you only have green waste. Coming soon!
Please note: The Lifford Lane Queue Cam can only see Ebury Road: the stretch of road from Lifford Lane to the recycling centre gate.
