31 year old Leon Harrison was set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ court this morning (30th July) charged with the attempted murder of a pregnant woman who was stabbed in the car park of Fitness First in Stirchley on 1st July.
Harrison, from Swinford Road in Selly Oak, was arrested on 3 July after he handed himself in at a Birmingham police station. He was assessed by mental health experts and at the time was deemed unfit to be interviewed.
The 31-year-old fork lift driver was released yesterday from the secure mental health unit and charged.
