An owl owner from Weoley Castle has contacted West Midlands Police after losing a captive owl.
The barn owl named Holly was last seen at around 1am this morning (Friday 24th February).
Holly has a gold and silver back, a white chest and is wearing a tag with the number IBR75467.
Her owner is concerned.
We spoke to Juliana from the Independent Bird Register who said that a barn owl would normally stay within a mile radius of where it was lost. She suggested checking sheds, garages and outbuildings and that areas around ponds and churchyards are other areas to keep an eye out.
If you think you may have spotted Holly, please contact The Independent Bird Register directly on 01748 830112
