Police officers and staff from across the Birmingham South Local Policing Unit will be contributing to a 24 hour long “Tweet-a-thon” on social networking web site Twitter, starting from 7am tomorrow, Thursday 27th January.
@bhamsouthpolice already tweet regular basic updates on what’s happening throughout the LPU but it is hoped that tomorrow’s event will give residents a better insight into what local police staff do on a day to day basis.
Officers from Northfield, Longbridge, Quinton, Bournville, Selly Oak, Kings Heath, Harborne, Edgbaston, Weoley Castle, Yardley Wood, Stirchley, Selly Park, Woodgate and Kings Norton will tweet about a range of topics including crimes, arrests, operations, calls for service, patrols, community meetings, and internal processes.
