Northfield Ecocentre has suffered a burglary today.
Staff were alerted by a phone call from a neighbour at 8.30pm. A window was broken and laptops stolen.
The Ecocentre is a registered charity and offers individuals and businesses help and advice on sustainable living. They give advice and run workshops on such things as recycling, organic gardening, real nappies and energy saving. They have, for example, helped a number of people get solar energy installed in their Northfield homes and latest projects include Incredible Edible Northfield, a community food growing project and Northfield’s Orchards.
The Ecocentre is situated on Church Road, just behind Oulsnam Estate Agents, close to the entrance to Northfield Shopping Centre car park.
If you were in the area today or this evening and saw anything suspicious, please contact Northfield Police on 101 and let them know.
