A bus driver suffered “potentially serious injuries” when the bus he was driving was involved in a collision with a van in Northfield this afternoon (Tuesday 11th February).
The collision happened in Frankley Beeches Road, close to the St Heliers Road junction, just after 1pm.
The bus driver was taken to hospital while a second man, the driver of the van, was checked over by paramedics and ischarged at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed: “We were called to reports of a collision between a van and a bus on Frankley Beeches Road […] at 1.13pm.
“We sent two ambulances to the scene where, on arrival, crews found two patients. The first was the driver of the bus who was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to […] Hospital.
“The second man, the driver of the van, was assessed and discharged at the sene with selfcare advice.’
West Midlands Police have been contacted for a statement.
