A Post Office has today reopened — at a new location — serving the Allens Cross area of Northfield.
The community has been without a local facility since the former location in Merritts Brook Road closed in 2019.
Today, the new Post Office counter opened at Premier in nearby Fitzroy Road, offering daily opening over 70 hours a week.
Post Office Network Provision Lead, Mat Wilkes, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office service to Allen’s Cross as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. We are pleased to have achieved this in time for our busiest time of the year. Daily opening will make it very convenient for customers to visit.”
