A woman and her two young children thankfully escaped without injury after a fire – believed to have been started deliberately – at their Northfield home early this Easter Monday (Monday 13th April).

Three West Midlands Fire Service crews – some wearing breathing apparatus – tackled the fire at the home in Farren Road.

The three occupants were believed to have been assessed by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene but thankfully suffered no serious injuries.
Officers from West Midlands Police requested that residents remain in their homes.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the fire was being treated as deliberate.
He said: “We were called to a house fire in Farren Road, Northfield, just before 8.30am today (13 April).
“Three people inside the property escaped uninjured but the fire is being treated as deliberate.”
