West Midlands Police have confirmed that they are investigating an armed robbery at a store in Northfield after an armed robbery this morning(Friday 8th March).
A group of men – armed with knives and a gun – entered the Tesco Express store on Frankley Beeches Road just before 11.30am.
Staff were threatened before the men made off with an amount of cash.
No-one was reported to have been hurt in the incident.

That part of Rubery is turning into a war zone!
I believe Farmfoods on the High Street was done over on 2 successive days earlier this week; the Gala Bingo, or whatever its called these days, was done over 2 or 3 months ago on Great Park; Great Park itself is a crime area with stabbings and robberies commonplace; the shops on Arden Road also suffer robberies too.
Add to that the car thefts, carjackings, assaults and arson, along with drug trafficking, and the area really has gone down hill at a rate of knots!
It’s about time to move out from this area.
I think the police are losing the fight with chrime to be honest.
Not safe to leave your house now.
Lived around frankley and rednal over 40years,these gangs and young kids are running riot, and nothing can be done.
New laws urgently required.
To much blood on our streets..
