Elections for Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner take place on May 5th.
Here’s some useful information to help you make sure you are prepared to vote.

Register to vote
If you don’t get yourself on the electoral register before the deadline date, you will not be eligible to vote.
Deadline: 18th April

Voting in person
Polls are open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 5th May.
You should receive your polling card before the election. You may only vote at the polling station specified on your polling card. You do not need to take your polling card with you, it is for your information.

Postal voting
If you can’t make it to the polling station on May 5th, you can apply to vote by post.

Proxy voting
If you are unable to get to the polling station or vote by post, you can nominate a trusted person to vote on your behalf – in person or by post.

Candidates
Lists of all candidates in the Northfield district – Kings Norton, Longbridge, Northfield and Weoley wards – can be found here. We will be asking every candidate to give us 500 words about themselves and their campaign. These will link to the candidate lists once they start to come in.
