The Stonehouse Gang report that their club house was broken into earlier this evening (Thursday 21st August), with thieves making off with expensive computer equipment.

The break-in took place between 5.55pm and 6.25pm and two items were stolen: The Gang’s Apple Mac computer and a wireless printer. The Gang estimate that the value of the items and repair to property will be around £1800.
The club, situated on the border of Selly Oak, Weoley Castle and Bartley Green,  updated their computer suite last year and it was officially opened by HRH Prince Edward – The Earl of Wessex to celebrate their 75th Anniversary
The youth club’s leader, Lesley Franklin has stressed that the break in will not effect any club activities or provision, however the cost implications to the Stonehouse Gang is fairly sizeable.
If you have any information, or were in the area of Burnel Road or the old canal at the back of the clubhouse around that time and saw or heard anything suspicious please contact West Midlands Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
