West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a dog was injured in an unprovoked attack by a man with a golf club in Lickey Hills Country Park.
A woman was walking her dog near the country park and Visitor Centre at around 1pm on Saturday 8th November when a man hit the dog with a golf club he was carrying.
The dog was seen by a vet, and it suffered swelling to the face and dislodged teeth.
PC Bonehill said: “This was a distressing and unprovoked act of violence against a defenceless animal in a public space.
“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have seen a man carrying a golf club in or around the park”.
