An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Volunteer Recruitment Officer to undertake an innovative piece of work within volunteer development. This post is about identifying new ways to recruit volunteers, to diversify our volunteer workforce and to fill different types of volunteer roles.

Your challenge will be to investigate new places to recruit, and at the same time building relationships with organisations, businesses, universities and colleges. You will have excellent communication skills and ensure that our offer is accessible and inspiring to new audiences. We are looking for specialist help to access the many places and people that we need to build a diverse volunteer workforce, that will be you.
You will enjoy representing the RSPB and working with stakeholders; you will have an enthusiasm for meeting new people and advocacy. You will thrive off building a diverse workforce for saving nature; we know that people volunteer for people and not always organisations, so your passion and enthusiasm should shine through in your work. At the end of this project, we are looking to demonstrate that targeted recruitment works, the volunteer roles have been filled and you will produce some clear guidelines and learning for how your process can be replicated across the organisation.
