We are currently recruiting a small team of Customer Service Assistants to join us in Selly Oak, Birmingham, on a permanent annualised contract of 1300 hours per annum (average 25 hours per week).
As a Customer Service Assistant at TouchBase Pears you will be a vital part of ensuring we provide a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the building. The majority of your time will be spent serving in our Hive Café, but you will also work flexibly to cover the Reception desk, and to assist on events as a Steward or Catering Assistant.
Flexibility and good general availability is essential in this role due to the wide variety of events and activities taking place at TouchBase Pears; your working hours will be dependent on the activity with the building. Your rota will be issued approximately two weeks in advance allowing you to plan your personal life accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have previously worked or volunteered in a position where you have provided customer service and demonstrated your excellent communication and problem-solving skills. When working at TouchBase Pears you’ll be willing to learn new communication methods and we’ll support you to do so.
You’ll be flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns including evenings, early mornings and weekends.
Previous experience of working in retail, on a reception or within a catering environment is preferred but not essential; we are more than willing to train the right person to learn these new skills.
