Hourly Paid Tutor
£23.68 – £29.11 per hour (inclusive of annual leave)
Hourly rate based £28,021 – £34,448 per annum
Hours per week: Various hours 7 days per week
Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society. One hundred years on from the birth of Fircroft College, its mission of ‘social justice’ is more relevant than ever. Fircroft is a thriving and ambitious College with a vast and diverse community of learners and a strong ethos.
We are currently looking to appoint to our bank of Hourly Paid Tutors to complement and support our existing teaching team.
The main duties will include planning and teaching on agreed short courses and programmes. Short courses at the college run over two to three days, seven days per week, so this will include evening and potentially weekend teaching.
We welcome applications from any of our curriculum areas but are specifically looking for the following:
Social Care L2-L3
Drugs and Alcohol L2-L3
Training and Development L3
Personal and Social Development.
The post holders will be required to meet the targets and criteria set by the College for Outstanding teaching and participate in the College’s quality improvement activity.
To be considered for this role you must have a recognised teaching qualification along with an appropriate degree; relevant qualification or equivalent experience. Experience of teaching adults or those from diverse backgrounds is desirable.
