We are looking to appoint an experienced School Nurse & Family Support Officer.
The Governors of this dynamic 11-19 school are seeking to appoint an experienced School Nurse and Family Support Officer to join our highly committed pastoral support team.
As the lead on the medical needs of our students, you will co-ordinate our team of first aid trained staff. You will be the first point of contact for first aid emergencies and will oversee the delivery of our Medical Policy and procedures. In addition, you will play a key role in our work to promote the mental well-being of our students and address any mental health needs.
You will also contribute to our safeguarding procedures, offering family support and early help. You must be a friendly and approachable person who enjoys working with young people and their families. You will be able to give immediate help to students with common injuries and illnesses and to provide first aid at work for employees if needed. If not already trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will be supported to become qualified to Level 3 at the earliest opportunity. Experience in a similar role is essential and a nursing registration would be desirable.
Candidates must be RSCN or RGN qualified. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
