11.50am – 1.10pm (6.7 hours per week)
Lunchtime Supervisors are engaged on a part time basis to undertake supervision of pupils during the school’s lunchtime break. The extent of the supervision to be exercised includes the washing of hands, entry of pupils into the dining room, general help during the service of meals, assisting younger pupils in cutting up meat, general training in table manners and provide close supervision in the playground or classroom. Lunchtime Supervisors are responsible to the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor for the satisfactory performance of their duties. Normal hours of duty correspond with the school’s lunchtime break.
You should have experience of supervising children including knowledge and understanding of managing behaviour of groups of children. You will be able to work as part of a team and individually and be able to liaise with parents and staff in a professional manner. There is a requirement that Lunchtime Supervisor undertake five days of training per year; pro-rata for the number of hours worked per week.
