Colmers Farm Primary School is a two form-entry mixed primary school for pupils aged 4 – 11 years, which currently has approximately 420 pupils on roll. We were re-designated as an all age primary school in September 2016 bringing together two well established infant and junior schools.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our school for a class teacher with passion, drive, commitment and experience to provide the very best education for children across the whole school, and as Leader of Mathematics, take our improving level of Mathematical achievement to new heights.
The Executive Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint an outstanding primary teacher with experience in teaching and leading Mathematical education. The successful applicant must be able to make a real and positive contribution to the education of our children and be able to co-ordinate and improve further our Mathematics teaching across the school. In this role, you will be a member of our wider Leadership Team as Leader of Mathematics, and you will be instrumental in designing and implementing the Mathematics curriculum across the school to ensure pupils achieve their potential.
The ideal candidate will:
· have a real interest in the teaching of mathematics;
· be an outstanding Key Stage 2 class teacher;
· be creative and able to tailor the curriculum and teaching strategies to best suit the needs of the children;
· have a true commitment to raising standards;
· have strong behaviour management skills and be able to apply them appropriately reflecting the school’s behaviour policy;
· have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong working relationships within the school as a whole;
· maximise the partnership potential between home and school by valuing the contribution both make towards the development of our pupils;
· be able to embrace the principles of equality and inclusion.
