‘A future where the best experience of living is available to everyone leading up to and at the end of life’
At Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice we have embarked on an ambitious and innovative programme of service redesign to enable us to reach more individuals and their families, carers and loved ones than ever before.
We believe hospice care can be delivered in any setting. Whether directly by Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, through the health and social care professionals we educate or by organisations we work in partnership with such as prisons, care homes, hospitals and general practices. To ensure the best hospice care is available for all individuals, families and carers and loved ones across our community, wherever and whenever they need it.
To support our ambitious plans, we are looking for an exceptional individual to take on the role of Assistant Shop Manager to cover one of our shops in Birmingham and Sandwell.
Birmingham St Mary’s retail operation is a community based shopping experience with 16 successful shops in our portfolio. Our shops are of the highest standard and are vibrant, innovative and value for money. We have a commitment to growth and there is no ceiling to our ambition.
Reporting to the Shop Manager and directly responsible for the business in their absence, the purpose of the Assistant Shop Manager is to develop and recruit exceptional Shop teams of volunteers, enabling them to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Birmingham St. Mary’s Hospice work.
You will have previously demonstrated your ability to recruit, motivate and support teams of volunteers.
The successful candidate will be passionate, energetic and outgoing, and motivated by our mission and ambition ‘Hospice care for all’.
