Northfield woman chases off would-be burglars

A group of would-be burglars were thwarted when the householder of a Northfield home they were trying to break in to chased them off in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 5th December).

The woman was woken by four young men in her back garden in Borrowdale Road, talking loudly and trying to snap the lock off her back door.

She shouted from upstairs then ran downstairs and chased them as they made off.

The group failed to gain access to the property but did get away with a white Specialized bicycle from the garden.
