From West Midlands Police :

“Police are investigating following reports of a stabbing in the Hawkesley area of Birmingham this morning (6 October).

It’s believed that a 25-year-old man was inside a flat on West Mill Croft at around 5.15am when he was attacked.

He sustained multiple stab injuries, and was taken to hospital by a neighbour where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

An investigation to establish the events leading up to the attack is on-going.

Officers are holding a scene on Longdales Road, Kings Norton and at the apartment where the alleged attack took place while forensic work is conducted.

CCTV and house to house enquiries are also underway.
