CCTV appeal: Security guard hit in face at Cotteridge store over can of pop


West Midlands Police are appealing for help to identify a man they’d like to speak to after a security guard was hit in the face at a Cotteridge store last month – over a can of pop. 

The incident happened at Heron Foods at 3.45pm on Wednesday 18th September and a CCTV image of the man has been released by police.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “It is believed the guard was struck after asking the man to pay for a can of pop.”
