Three men from Northfield, Bartley Green and Harborne, have been charged by Police after a gun was thrown from the window of a car as it travelled along a Birmingham road last week.

The car failed to stop for officers on Cambridge Street just after 4.15pm on Thursday (19 September) and continued through rush hour traffic. An object, which was later found to be a live firearm, was thrown out of a window. The car was found abandoned in Ladywood later that day.

Three men, Jonathan McCann, aged 24, of Northfield, Reiss Clarke, aged 24, from Bartley Green and Saphan Robinson, aged 28, from Harborne, were arrested and charged with possession of a handgun.

All three appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Saturday (21 September), where they were remanded in custody until their next court appearance.
