A group of 12 staff and managers from McDonalds in Longbridge, took to the streets today (Monday 8th April) to encourage the community to ‘love and take pride’ in where they live.

Equipped with grabbers and bags provided by Andy Cartwright, the wonderful workers collected a shocking 25 bags of rubbish from the lanes, around the Great Park lake and the Bristol Road.

Beer cans, crisp packets, pop bottles and containers amongst the mess collected.

Store Manager Darren said: “We are often seen as a big business, a company, a corporation. But we are your neighbours, your children, your friends and we believe that everyone can make a difference to their surroundings and the environment everyday.

Today’s litter pick, was a small gesture from us to our local community, something to show we as a store care about our surrounding area.”
