Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice’s ‘Spring Raffle’ is back and to celebrate the charity’s 40th anniversary, it’s giving more people a chance to win cash prizes.
This year, there are seven opportunities to win – with £1,000 as first prize, £400 as second, and five prizes of £40 in third place.
The new £40 prizes mark the Hospice’s milestone anniversary, to celebrate the forty years it has been providing free care and support to people and their families living with life-limiting illness.
Big-hearted nurses at the Selly Park-based charity have been supporting the raffle by sharing what they would buy with the top prize. Emma Kelly, who is a sister at the Hospice, said: “I’m currently doing up my house at the moment so if I won the top prize, I’d definitely spend it on some lovely furniture or DIY. That way, I could invite my friends and family over sooner and we could create some really happy memories together in my new home.”
Last year, Spring Raffle raised over £12,000 for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, which provides vital care to local people who are living with life-limiting illness.
Tickets for Spring Raffle cost £1 and are on sale now until Friday 3 May. The winning ticket will be drawn on Monday 13 May and all funds raised will go towards the Hospice.
Tickets can be bought online via the Hospice’s website, at one of its 17 shops across Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull, or at the Hospice itself.
