A boy was arrested this afternoon after West Midlands Police were called to reports of a teen outside a Northfield school with a knife (Thursday 28th March).

Officers recovered a knife after being called to Shenley Academy at around 3.15pm.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said that a 15 year old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and remains in police custody.

We can confirm that the teen was not a pupil at the school.

No further details were available at the time of asking. No-one was believed to have been injured.
