Police are investigating reports that a woman was approached by two men, one of which demanded her car keys on a BP forecourt in Weoley Castle on Tuesday morning (19th March).

It’s believed that the woman in her early thirties had finished filling her car up at the BP petrol station on Alwold Road, just before 10am, when one of the offenders demanded she gave him the keys to her 10 plate Ford Focus.

The victim said she: “ran around her car and he stood there for what felt like forever until I screamed for help!” – she would like to thank a lady called Carly who came to her aid.

Both men, who the woman described to be in their ’20s or possibly younger’, ran off and she then called 999 just before 10:30am.

The man who demanded the key was ‘White, around 5ft4, wearing two hoods, light blue jeans and big beige back pack’ and the person he was with was ‘Black, around same hight but large wearing all black’, according to the victim.
